Club F.O.D Cymru initially began life as the South Wales branch of Club F.O.D. Club F.O.D initially began in May 2019 as a regular dedicated LGBT+ Night in Reading, Berkshire. Reading had lost its original Gay Bars and local venues who had tried to put on Gay Nights tended to target the students and would only put a midweek night on that started while most of us were going to bed ready for work the next day! As we started to grow, we realised that we were fulfilling a much bigger need and in September 2020, registered as a charity in England & Wales (No. 1191158) and structured as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO). Following the success of Torfaen Pride, Club F.O.D Cymru registered with the Charity Commission in its own right.
